Aunty Lovey recognised as Māori Volunteer of the Year by the Ministry of Health

National Volunteers Week ends today, it's a time to acknowledge the 1.2 million NZers who give their time and energy to enrich the lives of others. One of those volunteers is Aunty Lovely Hodgkinson. Aunty Lovely and her Te Reo Reka Ukelele Group take their joyful sounds to Palmerston North Hospital to cheer the patients up. And it works a treat - Aunty Lovey's unique dose of medicine has earned her the Māori Volunteer of the Year Award from the Ministry of Health.
